So it's been nearly two weeks since I've posted...well, I guess it has been exactly two weeks.
When you last left your intrepid hero, he was wrestling with one of the most difficult decisions he's ever faced.
Now, that decision has been made. I decided to come home.
I'm now in Oklahoma City, where I've been since last Thursday evening (so just about week and a half). I started my new job with BancFirst on Friday, and it's been great so far. I'm staying in my Grandma's house in OKC until I can get everything lined up for the relocation. Unfortunately, Grandma's house doesn't have any Internet...not even a friendly neighbor to poach off of until I get moved. So I'm having to go to IHOP from time to time, where they have free wifi, so I can get online to take care of things that I can't do at work (like blog, for example).
It's so great being home, though. I'll blog more about that as time goes on, because after 12 years in Denver, the contrast is even more stark here. I feel like I'm home, REALLY home, and being here energizes me in so many ways. Unfortunately, obviously, Heidi and the kids are still up in Denver, and I'll get them here as soon as I possibly can, but we have family here who loves us and supports us and helps us, and everything is going to be OK.
I know I am on the path that God wants me to be on. I don't know what I have done to deserve this, but I will say this: after what has been a very long 10 months or so, it's wonderful to receive a blessing like this. It has its challenges, but so far it's been great to be home. I'm just happy to be home.
More later...thanks for reading along, and I'm sorry to keep you all waiting for so long.
