Why I Left The Episcopal Church

I spotted this article while doing a little news browsing today. One quote from it almost made me laugh out loud in its ridiculous hypocrisy:

"It's a terrible breach of longstanding Christian tradition. You don't invade someone else's territory just because you disagree with them," said Jan Nunley, deputy communications director for the U.S. Episcopal Church.

"A terrible breach of longstanding Christian tradition"?!?! Let me get this straight: it's not OK for these African bishops to breach "longstanding Christian tradition" when they "invade someone else's territory," but it is OK for the US Episcopal Church to do so in accepting homosexuality, which is specifically condemned in several places in the Bible and as part of that "longstanding Christian tradition" dating back a couple thousand years?

Don't ever ask me why I left your "Christian" church, Ms. Nunley.
