It is difficult for me to understand how we continue to let people like this exist. And yet, while conviction seems quite likely, they're not seeking the death penalty, so this "woman" will live off the public teat at an effective rate of nearly $50,000 per year. Why waste the money?
And sadly...there are those who will argue that this would've been a good case for abortion. How about this being a good case of either a) a stupid, shallow couple thinking further ahead, or b) manning up and taking the consequences of your choices? For this poor excuse for a human being, it will be the latter...though by force of law, unfortunately for the rest of us.
Of course, all this comes far too late for poor little Rylan, who by all appearances, never really had a chance to be wanted or loved.

As the uncle of two nephews with degrees of autism I find this story makes incredibly sad and angry. I personally volunteer this piece of human scum from the planet permanently. I only wish something could have been done before Ryan died.
