So let me get this straight...
America is going through some difficult economic times. Gas prices are going up, which is driving up the price of food and other necessities. Many are in danger of losing their homes to foreclosure because of past predatory lending practices by mortgage companies. The dollar is in freefall. The Democrats think (as always) that they can solve all this by raising taxes, and it looks very much like we're not only going to end up with a Democrat president, but also a Democrat Congress.
I think, though, that I've spotted the source of the problem. Americans obviously have too many cars! How do I know this? BECAUSE I HEAR CHARITIES ASKING EVERY DAY FOR YOU TO "DONATE YOUR VEHICLE" TO THEIR WORTHY CAUSE. I hear them on the radio, see online ads from them, see them in e-mails. "It's tax deductible!" they cajole.
I don't know about you, but I don't have an extra 2-3 vehicles lying around. Are there a lot of you out there with disposable cars that you can just hand over to the charity of your choice? If it's common enough that they advertise about it regularly, it must be a pretty common thing.
Thanks for reading along.
