Some Very Humorous and Interesting News

Two interesting bits that I've found yesterday and today:

First, from the "Why-Buy-The-Cow-When-You-Can-Get-The-Milk-For-Free" file, the UK's Evening Standard put up an article about the declining marriage rate over there, now the lowest overall rate seen since the Brits began keeping records and statistics on marriage in 1862. Since the US gradually follows any trend that comes out of the mother country (for example, look at how seriously people are talking about socialized health care), I fully expect this new attitude to affect the pampered American young urbanites.

Second, yet another article concerning the Democrats' self-destructive behavior in this year's primaries. But it includes a very telling quote:

In an interview with the Globe, Bredesen said he remains open to other suggestions, however, "Most of the other suggestions seem to be, 'Let's cross our fingers and hope for the best,' " he said. "Hope is not a strategy."

"Hope is not a strategy"?!?!?! Didn't someone tell that to Obama, whose ENTIRE CAMPAIGN is essentially founded on "hope"? The Democrats really are confused this year, aren't they?

Thanks for reading along.
