New and Exciting News

After all the recent trials and tribulations, after all the misfortune, after all the curveballs that life has been throwing at me, I took some minor control of my destiny again for the first time in many months. Since the divorce went final, I have had the opportunity to start thinking about my future plans again. Item Number One on the list, of course, is the future of my relationship with Heidi. The cloud of the divorce hung over us for so long, that we were convinced we might not ever reach our real future.

Well, consider that asked and answered. This past Sunday, in the presence of all my living grandparents, my parents, and her son, I asked Heidi to do me the honor of becoming my bride.

To my eternal pleasure and gratefulness, she answered YES.

We're looking at mid-June of next year for the actual day. We'd like a nice quiet, small, intimate ceremony, nothing to ostentatious (or expensive, for that matter, unless we win the Powerball). Just a few friends and family to help us celebrate our undying love.

I love you, Heidi...you are my partner, my soulmate, my kindred spirit. I look forward to spending eternity with you.

Thanks for reading along.
